            Evolution Line

Aerodactyl is a Rock Flying Fossil Pokemon that was first introduced in the first generation. Aerodactyl first appeared in the anime in Attack of the Prehistoric Pokemon, were it scares the other fossil Pokemon that were chasing Ash and Team Rocket. Aerodactyl has some other major and minor apperacnes in the anime but this one is the one I thought was the most major.

I prefer this set over the others just because it makes Aerodactyl a great lead, you can taunt first turn to stop hazards and then proceed to go for your own hazards in the form of stealth rocks. Or you could go for the kill on the first turn and gain an early lead. I don't run max speed on my Aerodactyl ,because he doesn't need it so I figured HP would be better. Not only can  Aerodactyl hit like a truck, it can also shut down walls and get up stealth rocks. I my opinion I think Aerodactyl should be at least UU but I guess smogon knows what they are doing.
